This is a Lionel 2338 Milwaukee Road Powered GP-7 Diesel Locomotive from 1955. This is the rare version with the solid orange strip that goes all around the body and is extremely hard to find. Features include a motor, a reverse unit, an operating headlight, an operating horn, die-cast metal trucks, operating metal knuckle couplers and metal wheels.
Type I had bodies molded of translucent orange plastic. The orange band that circled the body was merely left unpainted, and extended across the locomotive’s cab.
This item has been graded per TCA standards C-6: Very Good. Some minor trim elements are misaligned, bent, damaged or missing. This item shows scratches and spots of paint loss throughout various sections of the shell and chassis. Spots of surface rust and corrosion can be seen on the chassis, trucks, and wheels. The overall appearance of each item may be improved with a gentle and thorough cleaning. The instruction manual is not included. The original box is not included.
