This is a Lionel 455 Vintage O Operating Oil Derrick and Pumper from 1950-54. It stands approximately 14.5″ inches tall. When you power this up the walking beam starts moving up and down simulating pumping oil from under your layout. There is also a glass tube with a brown liquid that bubbles simulating the oil coming up. It is a real Lionel classic and a favorite of many layouts.

This item has been graded per TCA standards C-6: Very Good based on visual appearance. A layer of shelf dust has settled onto the surface of the oil derrick. The item shows scratches and paint loss throughout various sections of the base and body. Some of the metal hardware on the oil derrick has rusted. The overall appearance of this item may be improved with a gentle and thorough cleaning. The oil derrick is being sold as-is. The instruction manual is not included. The reproduction box is included.
