The Tower was originally sold by Lionel in the prewar era. It was re-introduced in 1946 and was sold for five years (through 1950). The all-metal Water Tower is painted and is approximately 8 1/2 inches high. The base is red and measures approximately 3 1/2 inches by 3 1/2 inches square. The spout is black and is the only moving part on this accessory. There is a decal on the tank with LIONEL TRAINS in red.
