This is a Lionel 2056 Vintage O 4-6-4 Steam Locomotive W/ 2046W Tender from 1952. This is a Korean War hybrid using a Berkshire boiler casting on a Hudson wheel arrangement. Features include a 3-position E-unit, an operating smoke unit and an operating headlight. A 2046W tender is included and features die cast trucks, operating rear knuckle coupler, whistle, and metal wheels.

Known as the Baltic in Europe and the Hudson in North America, the 4-6-4 was introduced in the early 20th century finding success in hauling freight and as a shunting model. Their use would initially find great success on North American railways before eventually becoming mainstays in rail-yards around the world.

This item has been graded per TCA standards C-6: Very Good based on visual appearance. There are nicks, scratches, and spots of surface rust on these items. One marker is broken off and missing from the boiler front. Bodies of both items show paint wear, paint chips, and abrasions throughout their surfaces. The wheels show signs of wear. The overall appearance of these items may be improved with a gentle and thorough cleaning. When tested, locomotive ran well. However, tender whistle does not function.
