By the 90s, Trailer Train Company found other uses for the 89-J and its flat brethren through the JTTX, and other re-purposed program. Fitted with wood crossbeams, the JTTX fleet was designed to accommodate pipe and bulk loads of varying diameter and weight. Featuring new, side-mounted brake rigging and other JTTX-specific detail, these models roam the rails today, delivering pipe and bulk loads all over North America.
