This is a Walthers 920-13070 HO Amtrak Phase I 73′ Budd Baggage Car Ready to Run #1040. Features: Amtrak began operations in May 1971 with the Phase I paint scheme introduced in 1972. Three cars converted for use as Display Cars on Amtrak’s Exhibit Train. Prototypically accurate window tinting as appropriate. Modeler-installed extended drawbar included for 22″”radius curves. Factory-installed grab irons. Turned RP-25 metal wheelsets. Proto Max(TM) metal knuckle couplers. PLEASE NOTE: As these cars are the correct prototype length and feature full underbody detail to match the prototypes, a minimum 24″” radius is recommended for operation.
