Here is a Lionel 225E Vintage O 2-6-2 Die-Cast Steam Locomotive w/ 2235T Tender. This locomotive features die-cast metal sprung trucks, metal wheels and axles, operating headlight, and a motor. The Tender features die cast construction, metal stamped journals, [1] box coupler, and metal wheels and axles.

Brought onto the scene in the late 19th century and continuing use into the early 20th century, the 2-6-2 was a durable little model with some even surviving through the first World War seeing continued use in smaller capacities. These models were used for a variety of purposes from hauling coal loads to pulling smaller passenger cars. The North American model soon became known as the “Prairie” model and would quickly become a favorite in rail-yards around the world!

This item has been graded per TCA standards C-6: Very Good based on visual appearance. This item displays scratches and spots of paint loss across the body and underframe. The wheels and rolling pickups show signs of average use. The road name and number decals are worn and fading. Small spots of surface rust can be seen on the underside of each item. The overall appearance of this item may be improved with a gentle and thorough cleaning. The original box is not included. The instruction manual is not included.
