This is a Lionel 2046 Vintage O 4-6-4 Steam Locomotive from 1950-53. This engine was used in many mid-sized O27 sets in the early 1950s. Features include an all metal construction, a reverse unit, light, smoke, and magnetraction. It also features metal hand-rails, wheels and axles. The matching tender is a 2046W but it is not included.

Known as the Baltic in Europe and the Hudson in North America, the 4-6-4 was introduced in the early 20th century finding success in hauling freight and as a shunting model. Their use would initially find great success on North American railways before eventually becoming mainstays in rail-yards around the world!

This item has been graded per TCA standards C-6: Very Good based on visual appearance. The overall appearance of this item may be improved with a gentle and thorough cleaning. There are light nicks and scratches on the surface of this item as well as the underframe. The wheels have signs of run time but still can be used and functions on the track. There are some rust spots on this unit. There are paint chipping on this unit. The smoke stack on this unit has white residue in it. The original box is not included. The instruction manual is not included. Overall condition is Very Good.
