This is a Lionel 736 Vintage O 2-8-4 Berkshire Steam Locomotive from 1950-66. The 736 was a mainstay of Lionel’s line for much of the Postwar Era and was included in numerous top of the line sets. Features include die-cast metal construction, a motor, a reverse unit, an operating headlight, an operating smoke unit, a decorative bell, metal side rods, metal wheels and nice detail. This is the earlier version with the die-cast rear truck.

This item has been graded per TCA standards C-6: Very Good based on visual appearance. The overall appearance of this item may be improved with a gentle and thorough cleaning. There are light nicks and scratches on the surface of this item as well as the underframe. When this item was tested, the plow on the front of the unit has bent and warped and has fallen to where the wheels can not go on the track correctly. This item was still tested with lead clips and does work. The front of the unit where the light sits is broken and does not close. The wheels have signs of run time but still works. There are spots of rust on this unit. The smoke unit has paint chipping. The original box is not included. The instruction manual is not included. Overall condition is Very Good.
