This is a Lionel 265E Vintage O Prewar LL Commodore Vanderbilt Steam Locomotive w/Tender from 1935-40. The locomotive features all tinplate construction, a motor, a reverse unit, an operating headlight, a decorative smoke unit, metal side rods, metal wheels and exquisite detail. The tender features all tinplate construction, a solenoid coupler, tinplate trucks with black journals, an operating whistle, metal wheels and axles.

Per our grading of this item, it is equivalent to the TCA rating of R-2: Fair — A non-professional restoration. Color, texture and finish are clearly different from the original. Other items, such as non-authentic wiring are also evident. Number boards are missing from the sides of the cab. Wheels and pickups show heavy signs of previous use.
