This is a Lionel 2855 Vintage O Sunoco Black Semi-Scale Tank Car from 1946. The 2855 is much harder to find than the 2555 and only came in two sets during the Postwar Era. This car features die-cast closed metal trucks, die-cast metal operating knuckle couplers, metal wheels and axles. The 2855 was available in black only in 1946 [in 1947 the color changed to gray].

This item has been graded per TCA standards C-6: Very Good based on visual appearance. The body is heavily scratched and chipped. There is rust along the trim parts and wheelsets, and the wheels are worn. The Sunoco insignia is faded. The instruction manual is not included. The original box is not included.
