This is a Lionel 3656 Operating Cattle Car. This car is designed to work together with the Lionel 3656 Cattle coral. It was one of Lionel’s more popular accessories. The car’s doors automatically open when the operation starts. The cattle have small fingers on the bottom that cause them to move when the car starts to vibrate (the old electromatic football games from the 1960s and ’70s worked on the same principle).

This item has been graded per TCA standards C-7: Excellent based on visual appearance. This item appears to have been run sparingly, and displays overall signs of light previous use. There are some scratches, nicks and imperfections on the paint consistent with age and use. The overall appearance of this item may be improved with a gentle and thorough cleaning.
