This is a Lionel 494 Vintage O Rotating Tinplate Beacon Tower–Red from 1954-66. This is the painted red version of the tower. The 494 beacon tower is a great improvement over the previous 394. The 494 has the reliable vibrator motor that turns the beacon. The 394 relied on the heat of the bulb to rotate the beacon. It measures 12 inches tall x 5 inches long x 5 inches wide. This item has been repainted.

This item has been graded per TCA standards C-6: Very Good based on visual appearance. There are light nicks and scratches on the surface of this item. The overall appearance of this item may be improved with a gentle and thorough cleaning. The original box is not included. Please check the photos for a detailed look at this item. There is signs of repainting and on the bottom of tower show touch-up painting. Overall condition is Very Good.
