This is the famous Lionel Union Pacific M10000 Streamliner Set from the 1930s. When introduced in 1934, this set broke new ground for Lionel. It was the first model of a diesel-powered train Lionel ever produced, and it was scale length. The set’s extreme length means that it will only run on curves 72 inch diameter or larger. The set includes a powered unit and non-powered trailing cars. A great addition to any Lionel collection. The locomotive features metal construction, motor, an operating headlight, an operating whistle, and metal wheels. The non-powered cars features metal construction, interior illumination, and metal wheels.

This item has been graded per TCA standards C-6: Very Good based on visual appearance. There are heavy nicks, scratches, and signs of surface rust present on all items included in this set. Additionally, bodies show spots of moderate paint wear, chipping, and scuff marks throughout their bodies. Vestibules show heavy wear from repetitive use. Window inserts are foggy and brittle. The wheels show signs of wear. When tested, locomotive ran well in both directions. Lighting did not function and bulbs will need to be replaced as well for the cars. The original boxes are included and show rips, tears, wear, and creasing. The instruction manual is not included. Please check the photos for a detailed look at this item.
