Here is a repainted Lionel 840 Lionel Power Station. This is the original model from the 1920s and 30s and is one of the largest accessories ever made by Lionel. It has room for two transformers inside. It is all metal construction. There is no accessory more desirable or fitting to be used with Lionel Standard gauge Trains. With the 6 knife switches on the back of the station you can control and operate up to 6 accessories, lights, or sidings from this central station. It is embellished with wonderful details, such as doors, windows, frames, etc., all actually inserted, not merely represented by lithography. Steel construction throughout, and painted in attractive colors. Length 26 inches, width 21 1/2 inches, height to top of smokestack 18 inches.

This item has been graded per TCA standards C-6: Very Good based on visual appearance. This power station appears to have been repainted. There are heavy scratches & nicks across the entire metal construction of this power station. Along with repainting this item, the previous owner has custom painted the lettering onto the “LIONEL” sign attached to the smoke stack. The red water tank is missing from the roof of this power station. The overall appearance of this item may be improved with a gentle and thorough cleaning. The original box is not included.
