Here is an MTH 20-3069-1 O Gauge Erie 2-8-8-8-2 Triplex Steam Locomotive & Tender #5016 with PS2. The Triplex, built in 1914, was a unique engine built to help the Erie Railroad move heavy coal trains over its hilly lines in New York and Pennsylvania. In the end it was not a success as the boiler could not generate enough steam to power all of the cylinders consistently. Of course the model runs on the electricity so this will not be a problem. Features die-cast boiler and tender, a specially painted “Russian blue” boiler, metal chassis, truck sides, and metal wheels and axles. A fantastic model. Minimum required radius: O-72
Due to the date of manufacture, the buyer may need to replace the battery.
